1. Basic Requirements
1.1. All applicants are considered individually. Applicants must have basic knowledge and education generally recognized as sufficient in at least one of the professional areas for mental aid purposes, such as psychology, psychiatry, nursing, occupational therapy, guidance and counseling. In addition, those who are recommended by at least two members of the association and approved by the board of directors to have sufficient knowledge and experience in the treatment of clinical diseases are accepted as candidates for education.
1.2. Candidates should have basic psychotherapist skills such as cooperating with the client, empathy, and interpersonal activity.
1.3. Candidates should systematically use cognitive behavioral therapies as one of the main therapeutic models or models.
2. Training Period
2.1. The training of candidates is a standard scientific / professional training and this process consists of a minimum of 450 hours.
3. Theoretical and Skill Training
3.1. The general education content is aimed at providing the necessary knowledge and understanding about psychopathology, cognitive and behavioral psychotherapy.
3.2. All trainees receive a training program that will provide a comprehensive understanding of cognitive behavioral therapies and their application to problem areas.
3.3. Skills / practical training is an essential component of gaining knowledge and experience and will make up 50% of the total curriculum of students. This training includes interactive training methods such as listening to recordings, peer supervision, role play, small group work for skill development.
3.4. These knowledge and skills will be acquired through structured education and students' own work. The Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapies Association training program consists of 400 hours and 4 modules hierarchically arranged in a manner that includes the principles of learning cognitive behavioral therapies, cognition and behavioral analysis, and the application of cognitive behavioral therapies to various clinical disorders. Each student has to fulfill the obligations such as homework, exams, case presentations required by this education program. The training record (file) should consist of the duration of the study, the number of training hours, the records of the speakers, trainers and supervisors who participated in the training of the candidate.
3.5. As at the end of many cognitive behavioral therapy courses, candidates are expected to demonstrate a sufficient understanding of the theoretical and practical aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy through reports, research projects, and exams.
4. SUPERVISION CLINICAL APPLICATION
4.1. During the course, candidates will receive 225 hours of evaluation and therapy supervision.
4.2. During the training period, each candidate will receive supervision from therapists who are accredited or approved by the trainers for both evaluation and therapy. Supervision will consist of regular feedback and discussion. Close supervision will be done by direct monitoring and examining the audio or video recording of the interview.
4.3. Practical training will be completed with the trainee conducting the treatment of at least four clients, from the evaluation session to the end of the treatment and post-treatment control interviews during the training period. These cases need to be related to at least three different types of problems. The treatment of these cases will be closely monitored by the supervisors, either directly or through recording methods.
4.4. Details of the supervised (supervised) clinical practice training will be specified in the training record.
4.5. The audited clinical practice will be subject to formal evaluation. The 4 cases followed will be written in the appropriate format and evaluated as part of the final evaluation or presented to a suitable evaluator.
